Hello Guys!!!!! So here’s something I penned on common sense and how uncommon it can be most times. And oh, it was inspired by some bad ass anger and frustration I experienced sometime back. Do enjoy and share!! Let your friends and family know how bad they need the uncommonly common sense. Bless you!

Of all the explanations
I had had to give
None appears offensive
And threatens to lower the ego of the specie of man
Than unveiling to him
That common sense
Isn’t a purchased commodity available at a fancy supermarket
Neither is it acquired whiles sitting
Attentively behind a classroom desk
It accounts for why all the education man acquires
Doesn’t suffice to enable him identify that it is wrong
To drop peels of banana on the road other men ply
To use his dirt filled hands to eat food
To purchase food from the woman selling beside a heap of refuse and choked drain
To use water from his bath bucket to cook
To use the public lavatory and leave it in a mess
To defecate at the shores of the water body that serves diverse purpose to his fellow men
To use religion as a mask to cover his hypocrisy
To judge others for the similarly hidden mistakes he makes
To treat his neighbours son with disdain while he showers the best of care to his own son
To unlawfully covert his neighbours property
To badmouth all who disagree with him
To incite anger and conflict through his unwise and pollute words
To beat his fellow man for having an alliance with another political party
To loot the people who put him in power and reduce his nation to shambles
To abuse the vulnerable because he has power over them
To wait while a dying man dies before he is given the medical treatments required
To attend to his wealthy fellow who clearly has no emergency unlike the poor man involved in an accident
To forget that he began from nothing and arrived at something
To forget that he owes people with similar backgrounds like what he began with, a chance at hope
Tell man, that as much as it appears common
Common sense never seems common
Not even to the ‘enlightened’
He has his breaking points too
So believe me
When I say – none is offensive to man
Than unveiling to him that he needs an impartation of common sense
Yet cannot purchase it from the fancy supermarket
Or acquire it by sitting in a classroom!
